Cover Inspiration

Every aspect of this cover has meaning: The colors are a reflection of the my own journey.  Hope in the teal, it reminds me of some oceans, of vegetation and the origins of life. Courage in the orange, strong, vibrant.

The crack in the cement resembles the brokenness of the foster care system, of my own heart; while the flower emerging symbolizing how love, healing and growth can occur despite the devastation and grief.

From a practical perspective, I also wanted it to stand out at the virtual or physical shelf and catch the eye, as well as being clear in the thematic: telegraphic on the duality of the foster care system.
